Free Summer Performance Series by Pawtucket Parks & Rec

 The Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Division is hosting a number of free performances throughout the summer beginning Sunday, July 7 and ending Thursday, August 22, weather permitting.  All performances begin at 6 p.m. and are open to the public.
 
There are seven children’s performances taking place at Slater Memorial Park every Tuesday evening starting on July 9.  These performances include Tommy James, T-Bone, Toe Jam Puppet Band , Super Cool Beans, Rock-a-Baby, Lon Cerel and Bill Harley.  They will be performing at the stage between the Slater Park Office and the historic Daggett House.  The carousel will remain open until 8 p.m. throughout the summer during these performances only.
 
Thursday evenings bring music to Slater Memorial Park at the stage located in front of Daggett Farm.  This year, acts include Ronnie & the Satellites, Terri Giviens, John Connors and the Irish Express, Rhode Island Rednecks, the Jesse Liam Band, Deluxe Edition and Down City Band.  The Free Summer Music Series in the Park begins July 11.  Concessions are also available.
 
A variety of free musical performances will be presented at The Veteran’s Ampitheatre on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Exchange Street every Sunday night.  This riverfront venue is directly adjacent to Pawtucket City Hall.  The season will begin on July 7 with the Arthur Medeiros Swing Band.  Other performances this summer will include the Rockin’ Soul Horns, Dick & Dave’s Rockin’ Oldies, the Dixie Diehards, Joe’s Backyard and Aurea Ensemble.
